As I walk along, I can’t help wondering if the sky will always be there,
I know you think I joke, but who is to say what is truth and what is science fiction?
Feel a spill coming through, burning up the ground,
There ain’t no going back, whoever leaves that town.
All undone by a creature that is not a creature, we have no name - it’s true,
We sign no lease and we can do just what we please, call it in-ex-or-able.
Some asteroid that happens by could make the earth a moon,
In cosmic law there is no love, nor is there any ruin.
One time in a dream, I called the folks at MIT, they solved it easy:
Focused a beam of how precious millions believed the world to be, and negated harm of all kinds.
Oh but there’s not a thing that you can do, except recycle, maybe

Cause no matter how far we stray, we’re all stardust, anyway
